Micaela Grüner, Mag. art., MAS. (Financial Manager)

 

Music and Movement educator, teacher educator.

Since 2014 board member of the IOSFS.

 

Born in 1964. Studies in Music and Movement Education at the Orff Institute of the Mozarteum University in Salzburg (Mag. art.).

 

1985-1993 teaching positions at various music schools and at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. As from 1994 university assistant at the Orff Institute for Elemental Music Education and studies in Culture and Media Management at the ICCM Salzburg/ Johannes-Kepler-University Linz, graduating with a Master's degree in 1998.

 

1999-2006 Head of the Department of Instrumental and Vocal Pedagogy at the Music School of the City of Ulm. Since 2003 full-time lecturer at the Orff Institute of the University Mozarteum Salzburg with the subjects "Fundamentals of Elemental Music Pedagogy", "Didactics of Music and Dance", "Didactic Practicum", "Occupational Field Analysis", "Music Ensemble" as well as "Instrumental and Vocal Composition in Early Childhood Music Education and Basic Music Education".

 

Co-director of International Summer Courses at the Orff Institute and the International Orff-Schulwerk Symposia in Salzburg 1995, 2006, 2011 and 2016. Since 2014 co-editor of the magazine "Orff-Schulwerk heute".

Many years of experience in further education and training for various pedagogical target groups at home and abroad.

 

Author and co-editor of books, textbooks, professional articles and documentation for exhibitions.

Publications include the series “Fidelio – Musik in der Grundschule” (Westermann), the series “Musik und Tanz für Kinder- Früherziehung” (Schott), “Orff Instruments and how to play them” – German and English version (Schott), Chinese version (Central Conservatory of Music Press, Beijing), as well as documentations of Symposia and other events organized in collaboration between the Orff Institute and the IOSFS.
